Sociology does seem interesting then. I'm not that bad at learning theories.

I wish I'd taken sociology as an additional subject now.

yep im going in wit a lil more confidence that u, cause i already have a C in psy, and need 75 UMS for a B outta 210 in sociology. just need a C in my proper sciences, which is where some of my worry is coming from :/

good luck though, cause we will be the minority up there from the looks of it....
Yep I'm hoping for my B in psychology cos I already have a lot of spare marks over an A from first year and I only need to average a D this year for a C in chem so physics is my only real concern at the minute. I'm hoping my first year resit has brought my grade up enough that this year doesnt really matter.

It does seem like we'll be a minority, according to some of the Dundee stats they have more overseas students than English and forensic anthropology students are thin on the ground and low in numbers as it is so we definitely need to stick together lol

Oooh J Atkinson! The interactionist! I loved the suicide theories they were damn cool! but I think Durkheim was a bit snobby about it, Atkinson was understanding

Durkheim just thought unmarried poor people committed suicide and Atkinson was like it depends upon the meanings attached to the act

    So coool

    Bet I failed

That realist essay really made me spew out ********!

    loool
LOL! i just did some serious evaluation on that essay. like yeh realism is not so good. but the marxist, functional, fem, postmodernists etc etc.

thats all i did. but its a good subject, and easy if u can remember the theories and be able to regugitate them into paper well

the smaller markers on that paper were pretty good, i just spent alot of time on those XD

i had had like 3 hours of chemistry that morning too. wasnt good.

so where are you planning to go? lol yea i'll prob not survive up there, just me luck eh? aw well thats student life for ya eh?
I haven't really decided where I want to go yet, depends on my AS results. If I get the grades I'm predicted, I'll try for Cambridge, SOAS and Edinburgh, but if I mess up I'm not sure what I'll do! I can't go to Coleraine, or any NI uni, for that matter, because neither do my course (Japanese), or else uni would be so much cheaper!!

One thing I would warn about Coleraine from when I did my work experience there, most of South building looks exactly the same corridor to corridor. I got lost so much lmao. But I think sciencey subjects work in some of the new, specialist buildings, so you probably won't have to deal with the 70s layout they've got going down there.

I decided to combine our conversations

Ohhh I love Eastenders - shhhh. It makes me feel better Haha. It takes us ages cause we want to look perfect, and perfection takes a while Haha.

I did... well, interestingly. I've ended up with CCCC at AS with retakes, however, one of the C's is 209 UMS and one is 208 UMS - ONE / TWO MARKS (respectively) below a B. I retook Theatre (208) in the hope that it'll go up a few more marks to lower the pressure at A2. How about you?

Ooh, Biomed - I was once looking at doing that! Haha. Lots of my friends are going down that route - I'm the only future Criminologist in my year! I feel special

OH YEAHH, we have spoken of this! Seeing as the only paper we did the same was the Unifying, lets talk about that I'm really unsure as to how I've done in that
AHHH your just below them Bs then!! you will get em prob no bother! I got 3 As last year, still don't know how I did it, in complete shock lol, this year didn't go as good, well my History exams in June went waaayyyy better than I expected them to be, I did my ICT exam in Jan and got an A but the coursework was awful, don't know my marks on them, my biology was alright until June. I got a B in central concepts in Jan and my coursework I got 58/60 what was your coursework on? My synoptic didn't go too good, I can't remember much of it, the question on photosynthesis was good. My options paper was a disaster so Im worried sick I won't get my B in biology.....
Yea I'm the only Biomed student in my school, but my sixth form has only 40 pupils roughly tiny, biology class had 9 people lol

Yeah a lot of overlap. It touched my psychology too.

I'd love to speak to the fella who did 18 a-levels. The overlap must have been immense!
aye. i bet after a while, doing so many subject would be easier, because they would all interelate, so the amount of info wouldnt be as much as you would think.

especially if 18 subjects were all related...

I know, I mean that was the only subject that was in the afternoon for me! It was weird because everything else was in the morning..

I remember for the Crime and Deviance exam, I was so depressed, I lost all faith for some reason, and what pissed me off is all my friends going on about the theories and I am thinking "All because you revised you are trying to shove it down my throat, I hate you all " but yeah after the exam I felt so much better

i think she took offence when i called her scottish, but she had a scottish accent and i got confused....

eeeeek im not doing well already am i? lol. no worries, you should be alright wit you subjects, u never know u might get like a B or something and be really surprised!

Omg. I had 3 hours of Chemistry in the morning and 3 hours of Economics in the afternoon! A friend of mine had Politics scheduled after that too but instead, he had to sleep over a teacher's house to do it the following day!

Yeah, JUST below. Very, very irritating :huff:.
I hope I'd get them - I really wanna go to York!! Well done last year AAA's impressive
This year has gone somewhat better that last year, as far as I'm concerned - I retook two English modules, one went up from a low C to 3 marks below an A, which was a nice surprise Third time lucky! Well done on Central
My coursework was about the correlation of oxygen concentration and the population of the species Gammarus (little, pointless shrimp things). We went to this place in Suffolk to do it - it was quite fun What was your coursework??
I thought that photosynthesis question was too easy to be true - I hope that it was truly as easy as it seemed - 9 easy marks!
ONLY NINE PEOPLE? There were eight in my class, but there were three sets! My sixth form has 200 people!!

Good luck - you're in with a shout, I've worked out that it's all about the numbers adding up I'm sure you'll get the grades!
