Does anybody else feel as though they don't remember how well they did in their exams? Looking back, I can't even remember what I said in most of my exams, let alone whether I nailed them or failed them. So trying to predict how well I've done is becoming really frustrating. Ahhh stress!

    Same.

I've been able to suppress result day nerves for the best part of summer. Until today when I realised that this time next month will be the day.

I'm not afraid of my results, but waiting for them is driving me crazy. I just want to know my grades so that I can celebrate or cry.

i have a feeling that by now they have already finished marking the papers if not then it is most likely that by the end of the week. I can't stop worrying.

:o: because that would be far too easy- they have to make us wait for them..

Examiners/teachers/the whole system is just so unfair...
Come to think of it, we have to wait, but also universities wait aswell
I can understand they make us wait because they're cruel, but surely the universities need the results as soon as possible?

I wonder if these people marking our papers undertands the role they are playing in determining our next step in life?
The one who is marking mine better be in a bloody fantastic mood..

    Haha I would imagine so!

As they can read that it says A2 paper on the front...and quite a few A-level students do intend to go to uni.

Even if you aren't going to uni, you may need your A - levels for a job.

Also, I 100% agree with the last bit, I hope mine is too!

    Food for thought:

The type of day an examiner has... can determine HOW they mark our papers.

and hand writing, my hand writing goes to **** in exam conditions to the point its appears as an illegible scribble, i hope examiners can read it or just think '**** it i cba reading all these additional sheets, have an A' :o:

I am more worried of getting my AS resits back because i am planning on resitting my A2s in January (i need high grades which i doubt i will make in all my A2 modules). Getting good AS module resits = Only needing 70/80 for A2 resits or 90/95

    Oh dear god.
I got soooo scared when I saw the 66 days on the first post, I rushed to my calendar where everyday has been crossed off 3 times (just to make sure). Genuinley thought I was a month ahead, then had the common sense come back and looked at the date of the post!
    Phew!!
Anyone going to sleep counting the UMS required from modules to get their grades? I've been doing it every night as if they change. I'm not even using a calculator, if I don't get an A in Statistics now I will be hunting my examiners down!

Having marked the exam papers once I believe they're moderated within a group and then moderated within a larger group etc. to ensure fair marking. Then boundaries and such are drawn up. Universities get our results a week earlier than we do, so they can decide who to take and who to not take.

Yeah I would love to have the marks my script got (or individual questions got in the case of online marking) as soon as they were marked!

But I understand they have to decide on grade boundaries and moderate too.

Oh and I heard that AQA spends 3.5 weeks printing all the results sheets after marks and grades are awarded, so I'm sure that has something to do with the wait. Damn the non-online system.
