Hit it with something, hold it to the ceiling, and then slowly let it down, and the spider should come with it...

I'm too scared to go near it. And I can't get to where it is easily - there's a bookshelf and chest of drawers in the way, inbetween which is this pile of stuff and above which is the spider!
