I have this thing which is really annoying me

Listen to "Everything's Not Lost" - Coldplay, the 7 minute 15 second version.

At 1.46 there's a chord which reminds me SOOOOO much of another song, but I dunno what that song is

    Anyone know?

When I started listening to it, it reminded me of David Bowie - Life on Mars

or possibly a few Elbow tracks

    Chord or chord progression?

It's probably a common progression found in most music.

No, it's just one chord - I think it's B7sus2 (if that helps..)

Either B7sus2 or Bm9. I know the chord was used in Billy Joel's 'Miami' but I doubt that's what you were thinking of.

Although when hearing the chord it reminded me of the opening to Athlete's 'Wires'.

Do you mean the opening of Changes by David Bowie?
