I'm thinking about becoming a dietitian but I'm not sure which course I would need in uni. I've looked at prospectuses etc. for a few different unis but can't find a course in dietetics. Does anyone know which course I need, where I can do it and what grades and subjects I need at A level?

    Hi there,

If you look at the British Dietetic Association site they have all the info you need on which unis offer courses to become a dietitian in the UK. Here's the link http://www.bda.uk.com/edqualify.html
For A levels I think most of the unis require biology and chemistry and I have heard of people doing Food Tech which may improve your chances. Not sure of the grades I'm afraid but all unis are different so best to contact them direct.
Dietetics can be competitive so if you can arrange some work experience or shadowing a dietitian this will also improve your application.
Good luck and I hope you get to where you want to be. I'm starting Dietetics in September at Leeds and am very excited.
