I've been having problems down there for as long as I can remember - weird discharge, itching, etc. I've been tested multiple times and sometimes treated for bacterial vaginosis or vaginitis but the majority of the time it comes back clear. I do have some minor cervical abnormalities but was told these do not cause my symptoms. My latest swabs came back 'clear' but when I probed further, I was told I had 'pus cells that did not develop any bugs'. What the hell does this mean? My Dr reckons everything is fine but pus cells don't sound fine to me!

If you personally feel that things still aren't right, you can always go back and ask for a second opinion from another doctor. I've done this before when I had impetigo (a skin infection) and I just got cream from one doctor to apply daily and he told me it would go away, but it didn't after 2 weeks of applying the cream. I phoned the surgery and got an appointment with a different doctor and he gave me oral antibiotics and it cleared up in three days. Different doctors will look at you in different ways, you just need to find one on your wave length and who really knows how to sort you out.
