laptop keyboard or pc keyboard? If its a pc, replace it, if its a laptop, plug in an external keyboard for the moment. Are you sure nothing was spilt on it? How can you be sure? Is it sticky? Is it possible that someone has had access to it and could have taken the keyboard keys off and replaced them. If you have had it the whole time, it could be a problem with the signals being sent to the PC rather than a physical problem, in which case it would need to be replaced most probably.

Hmm sounds like it is your RTYU keys that are not working which seem to be in the same group? Is it a new laptop and still in warranty?

It could be as simple as a loose connection connecting your keyboard, do you know how to check this? I would call Sony to see if it is still in warranty.

Urm well if it's still in warranty, the best option is probably to send it back for repair. Or you could buy a keyboard for your model of laptop, just search google shouldn't be too hard to find. Then follow an online guide of how to replace it. Here is one for a sony vaio laptop, but its pretty old http://www.insidemylaptop.com/removi...xa63-keyboard/
if you search around though, you can probably find one on the web for your model

Ok then, don't try it if you don't know what your doing. But I would speak to Sony when you can to see if it is still under warranty, in the mean time use http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...turnonuse.mspx

I'm not talking about replacing keys, which is a ***** on a laptop. Im talking about replacing the whole keyboard. But as people have said, it could be a loose connection, but it's worth trying to get it done under warranty before you try anything.
