Funny documentary about british hopefuls at maths olympiad, it's hilarious. Jos is a dry humour GOD. Discuss the general question as well, documentary filler for general debate.

I haven't got long to watch all them, but i'm a couple of mins in, and that guy is autistic, so that would explain alot.

But theres quite a high correlation, which cannot be measured easily as it is not linear and also ability at maths and social skills can't be quantativley measured. spearmans rank coefficient could be used.

    see what I did there....

As maths ability goes up; social skills decrease. Look I drew a graph. I draw a lot of graphs.

Well obviously, his comments throughout are priceless. It's asperits(sp) anyways what he's got, interlinked really with autism. He's hilarious, he has literally about 5 or 6 comments that had me in stitches laughing.

One of those guys went to my school - apparently he's designed weapons for the government... Or something stupid like that. I don't trust the source, so it's probably not true

Anyways - the majority of the really mathsy guys in my school (such as him, and all of his brothers) are quite socially inadept. However, I know a number of guys, and one girl, who want to do maths at uni, or are doing further maths now who are quite social (the girl is a junior Olympic sailor, and one of the guys a junior Olympic swimmer... which makes it even more amazing :p: )

I'm going to throw it out there, i started the thread with a discussion base so it doesn't get moved by mods with a bit power going to their heads. The documentary and it's funnyness is the main point.

Jos went to my school. He has some form of autism so don't take the piss.

He's at cambridge doing physics i think (because he already knows the stuff for a maths degree ). About to go into his 3rd year.

But as for the thread title - it tends to be yeah. Shame

Why would i take the piss? he's a legend. He's naturally born funny, says it how it is, completely destroys people who say stupid things and hates pathetic small talk.
