Basically, I've got no real relationship experience and well, i'm in love with a best mate. She is really popular and has had loads of boyfriends and stuff, but seem's to really like me dunno why, but its great and we always end up having a laugh. Anyway we're always chatting on msn and i thinks she keeps dropping hints, but i'm not really sure if she is and i didn't want to make an arse of myself so i just pretended to ignore them.
Anyway, she's gone on holiday to spain for 4 weeks (nice for some i know) and i think its that that has really made me realise that i need her, like oxygen. I wouldn't be pleading for help, but its her i usually go to.
So, i don't want to ask her out and end up screwing our friendship up but i feel that if i don't ask her out i'm going to regret it forever. Any advice would be brill, im desperate.
Cheers a bunch ,
A hapless knave.

What kind of hints? They might just be examples of harmless flirting, you know?
Flirt back, see how she reacts. If she reacts well and there doesn't seem to be anybody she particularly fancies, ASK HER OUT!

It's possible to recreate attraction if you were in the friend zone. Basically, you have to casually touch her more. MOre eye contact than usual, and be more playful / flirty. Oh and ffs, don't be her b**ch

oo i fell for my best girl mate! It went up in flames...we went out for 2 weeks and everything just messed up from there on...we barely talk anymore.
IF you are willing to put your friendship on the line...then go for it. Tell her. BUT on the flip side, if it does work out, it will definitely be one of the best relationships ever.
Now, I personally think you should tell her! live life to the full!!

I'm in a similar situation and have been for very long i.e. years.
You'll only regret it if you don't ever do it - always thinking what if?, you'll be kicking yourself if she got with someone else, it'll only get more difficult the longer you leave it, ...
After lots of crying and talking with a good friend I have decided that I really must tell her now so I can get with her or move on.

Ask her friend to find out if she likes her.
That's the only real solution in this situation. (because of the "friend zone" issue)
I found out one of my guy friends liked me but I didn't feel the same, our friendship became really **** after that (although things have got back to how they were now) because you get awkward around each other.

I was in a similar situation a while ago.
I never did anything about it because I was worried our friendship would be ruined. I do not regret it. I went out, found a lovely girl who I am mad about.
I now have a lovely girlfriend and an amazing best friend. Unless you are 100% sure do not mess up your friendship because you may regret it forever.
