There isn't any advice , sorry. You can't be angry at your mate , and you can't be angry at the girl. So no one is to blame as to what's happend. Dude move on seriously you'll find a better girl in no time.

Oh and try to not use words like reciprocate , makes you sound a bit eughh , could've just said " Worth it " instead.

Hey man good luck though , I hope all goes well and you do get this chick or whatever.

I'm off to bed night !.
Don't give grammar advice when you don't know the meaning of fairly basic words :P

And to the OP, if your friend knew that you liked her then I think you have every right to be pissed off. Whether she liked you back or not is of no matter, he shouldn't have done it.

its a bit harsh but don't think the guy should be 'shotgunning' the girl for months without making a move and noone else is allowed near..

I agree completely. (although you used the word "reciprocate" incorrectly ^ it doesn't mean "worth it" :p:)

Get over it. :dontknow: You had ages to make a move and you didn't. You would have appeared to be completely uninterested.

well to be fair perhaps he didn't know how much you liked her

but i also have mixed views on this, i don't much like the notion that just because one person fancies another and calls "dibs" on them everybody else the person is buds with has to stay away.

if it were me (and i was your friend) i'd firstly decide how much i like the girl myself and how much i thought you liked her, and how strong the friendship was. like if you were the sort of guy who gets crushes on anything in a skirt and high heels then no i would have no trouble in sleeping with her if the opertunity presented itself, but if it seemed like you did really like her i'd have to step back and consider other things before deciding what to do..

yea, i'm totally not saying everyone else should back off. she's been with a few people since i've known her, none of it bothers me (much) but now its my mate its different

its very rare i think i click with someone, im not that sort of guy you described.

anyway like i said if its anyones fault its my own, and even then i didnt make a move because i didnt thikn it was reciprocated..

It seems a bit weird that your friend would mention it to you like that, knowing that you like her...

It sounds like he's trying to make you jealous or even making it up entirely.
Are you sure it actually happened?

What can you do? You told neither of them so neither is in the wrong... try to get over it I guess

    1. He does now, I think he had an idea before.
    2. Think it was just sex, he was gonna ask me advice about it and told me and I was like "ohhh, wrong person to ask". Don't know about the drunk thing.

The biggest problem is now the friendship group is screwed. They're my two best friends at uni
    Oh ****.
Well, if it was just sex then I would ignore it and pretend it didn't happen until you are all ready to talk about it.
If you don't, you will lose two friends and a potential girlfriend.

At least someone agrees with me . I'm sorry I don't know what reciprocate means , how an earth am I supposed to know what it means if I've never came across the word before. Does that mean I've got bad grammar ?.

Not bad grammar, a poor vocabulary maybe - it was just the fact that you corrected him incorrectly that people were picking up on :p:
