I'm reposting before the unit gets scrapped.

A high current electron accelerator is available free. The recipient

would have to organize and pay for dismantling and transportation of the unit from the Columbia
Plasma Physics Lab to its new home. The accelerator is a custom engineered Model 220G Pulserad
system from Physics International, capable of producing 800 kV, 100 A electron beams with 2 kA/cm2
current density. It was used for Free Electron Laser research at Columbia University until 1997, and
has not been used since, but is presumably still in good working order. Anyone interested in this
device should contact Asst. Prof. Thomas Sunn Pedersen by email ( tsp22nospam @columbia.edu) to make
further arrangements. <remove nospam from reply address
