My laptop died a few months ago and so I'll be needing a new one before I (grades permitting) head to Southampton later this year. So, before I go out and buy a laptop from somewhere else, is there the possibility of picking one up with a 15%+ discount once I get there? Same applies to netbooks, as I'm looking to run one of each.

Well, they do in pretty much every one in the US, so I thought it was worth checking to see if there were any similar things here.

mac store do a student discount - if you're into that.

Also if you ring Dell and complain a lot on the phone that they don't do student discount, they give you an extra 10% off.

You will get a lot more value if you have a desktop and a netbook, no point in having 2 things trying to do the same job.
