I believe marriage is a union under God, between a man and woman. And I believe in the need for a mother and father.

Right to abortion - Because if the child is eugenically inferior (This has to be significant) or biologically affected severely, or if it is terminated before self-consciousness and there is an issue of population control.
    The EU - Socio-economic/political benefits
Euthanasia - Right to act with reason
Stem cell research - We must develop the human body to better ourselves, to live longer and to eliminate defects.
Gay marriage - Freedom to marry
Gay adoption - As long as they don't openly advocate homosexuality over heterosexuality.
Positive discrimination - We must support those capable of most.
Capital punishment - Some people cannot be (in the practical sense) rehabilitated.
Gun control - Gun use must be regulated reasonably
ID cards - Theres nothing bad about ID cards in a liberal democracy, theres no significant 3rd party abuse.
Faith schools - Freedom to choose
Immigration - Multiculturalism is inevitable as a result of globalisation

    UNDECIDED
National service -Not essentially, but if optionally offered, then yes.
Corporal punishment - Animalistic Justice V mental/physical scars allowing people to 'learn a lesson'?
Nuclear disarmament - Weaponary can threaten modern civilisation, although there must be some level of weaponary to be developed, or at least the knowledge of it (which may seem paradoxical)

    AGAINST
Legalised prostitution - A hard working mentality and/or education and sense of basic moral principles in our democracy shows a level of societal and mental/physical decorum.

I see. What are your views on civil partnerships, do you believe that gays should not be allowed to marry, but should be allowed to have a civil partnership, as it is not technically a marriage? I agree with your other statement in the sense that there needs to be a fatherly and motherly role within a family, but can a man not take a motherly role?

One-word answers can but reflect a Manichaean view of the world- does "for immigration" mean you support the repeal of all the Immigration Acts and a celebratory burning of the blue airport terminal signs marked "UK Border"? Does "against gun control" include allowing machine gun possession? On some of them, like legalisation of prostitution, a simple yes/no has clear meaning even if it does not explain why but on others it is almost senseless as above:

Right to abortion - Against- Murder of an innocent child
    Drug legalisation - For
Gun control - Should not be so strict ideally, I don't support long prison sentences for simple possession of a firearm, but making guns more accessible in our specific social conditions may be too likely to exacerbate gang crime. If we had a more law-abiding culture, as Switzerland does (where almost anyone can own a gun provided the fully automatic function is disabled), I'd definitely favour legalising handguns.
The EU - Against leaving pragmatically, but disappointed Cameron has not been able to repatriate aspects of our sovereignty as he had promised he would with a stronger electoral mandate.
Euthanasia - Against. Deliberate destruction of life, and also too liable to abuse
Stem cell research - Strongly for on adult stem cells but against on embryonic cells.
    Legalised prostitution - Against
Gay marriage - Against. The institution of marriage is sacramental and even in pre-Christian times was man/woman. Tradition does have some moral value.
Gay adoption - Completely against, parents are a mother plus a father. Many children up for adoption have already had experiences that will confuse their view of what a family should be like. There's no excuse for the State not to provide a normal one.
    Positive discrimination - Against
Capital punishment - For but only in very limited circumstances.
Faith schools - For, provided they are inspected to the same standard as non-faith schools and do not teach extremism
Immigration - Must be carefully controlled but not banned outright. Eastern European migration being unlimited is a concern for me
National service - Against in the context of the 21st century but a greater focus on duty and respect would do much good.
    ID cards - Against
Nuclear disarmament - Against, the ultimate deterrence against terrorists or (more likely) a rogue state leader who threatens us. We should not depend on the US or France for our defence
    Corporal punishment - Against

I'm pretty undecided on civil partnership. Yes its not marriage, but it is regarded in the same way, so it may as well be called marriage. I suppose I never really thought about the adoption thing in that way, so I'll have to give that some thought. I don't know if it will change my opinion, but it is quite interesting.

but can a man not take a motherly role?
I'll address the actual topic later, right now I cba, but this piqued my interest.

Personally, I don't think so. Men and women, no matter what sexual orientation, are a completely different species at the best of times, and just as a woman cannot be a male-role model for a son, a man cannot be a female role-model for a daughter.
I also believe that a man cannot be a decent example of what women are like to his son just as a woman cannot be a decent example of what men are like to her daughter.
