Positive discrimination - there is no such thing either it is discrimination or it isn't.

Since 1967, around six million pregnancies have been aborted in the UK. Let's imagine for a moment that abortion had never been legalised in the UK, that's another six million people inhabiting this small island, relying on public services, encouraging global warming and accelerating natural resource depletion. That's right, there are countless people waiting to adopt a child; however, there also countless orphans waiting to be adopted.
I hate this skewed, loony far-right outlook on abortion. Who are you to draw the line at 60 million people? Why not 50 million? Should we then start killing people to get to this "optimum" level of population?

Economic arguments don't really work against abortion; it's cliche but you cannot put a price on life.

No, I don't buy this slippery slope argument.

Didn't you say that you take a utilitarian approach to human life? If so, you're contradicting yourself because you clearly do put a price on human life.

Like I said, utilitarian. Unlike you I don't believe in making blanket ideologies - "I am pro abortion so I must support abortion in every instance, all the time". No. Different cases call for different measures. In the case of a woman having consensual sex, full aware of the possibility of getting pregnancy, getting pregnant, then 10 weeks later thinking "I can't be arsed with this pregnancy, I'm going to kill the child", I am against abortion. I am for abortion if a woman was raped, the pregnancy test failed, and they look certain to die from giving birth.
Sigh. Again, WHY? Why does a rape baby have less moral value than a baby conceived through consensual sex? Why does a rape baby have less of a right to life?

    For. ****'s. Sake.

Just think out of that 6 million how many might have gone on to become doctors, geniuses, artists, football legends, engineers, scientists.

One of those might have cured cancer or aids. What a waste of life.

I really hate that argument, anyone could just as easily ask how many might have become murderers, rapists, serious criminals, general menaces to society and say that one of those might have been a terrorist who mastered the bombings of several large cities:rolleyes:

if your still a socialist after 30 you have no brain
    I know a saying too:

"Posting patronising nonsense is a patronising and nonsensical thing to do".

Yeah so lets kill them so they can never become criminals and terrorists.

I personally could never kill a little baby thats my opinion. I am not religious but i still think it is morally wrong i cant explain it i just know it in my heart that it is wrong and i could never perform the procedure or allow my partner to have it sorry.
