Basically, I work in a shop and therefore occassionally have to go to the bank to do the business banking. At the bank, I met a guy, who gave me his number. We've been texting since quite alot and he seemed really nice (this has been going on a few weeks now) Anyway I went out with him for the 1st time last night, and to be honest I just felt nothing for him, there was just no 'spark' and it made me realise that I miss my ex more than I originally thought

Anyway, he text me asking if he could see me again, to which I replied "we can hang out again if you want, but I don't think I'm ready for anything more than friendship atm"

I feel bad for some reason, like I led him on. It wasn't intentional, there really was just no spark when we were together ... Does it sound rude what I said to him? Any advice on how I can overcome the awkwardness because chances are i'll have to see him again when I do the banking for work.

Ff If I was going to troll, I'd atleast post something that is a little more interesting. GTFO if you're not going to help.

I think that what you did was perfectly fair. And it wasn't rude. You gave him a chance and there was no spark, so you told him before he could get his hopes up. You did the right thing

Suggest meeting up for a film or maybe (if you don't think you could stand another "date") just give him a text every now and again so that he knows there's no hard feelings.

It's more important that when you see him in the bank you are just cheery and open

You did the right thing. There is little point in getting into anything with a guy you see/have little for, as that is not ideal.

No, you did the right thing. It would've been horrible of you to string him along.
