So I noticed that there are a fair amount of people doing the OCR FSMQ but no countdown thread for it so I thought I'd make one. :p: Who's going in on the 20th to actually get the results? I'm in two minds, I really don't wanna be there amidst the A-Level students hysteria and stick out like a sore thumb but then I REALLY REALLY want them so I at least have one less thing to worry about come the 27th ...How about evryone else?

It is the most unimportant and meaningless exam I took and will ever take, so I don't care about the result I get.

Whoa! Don't hold back! :p: Why the utter loathing? I kind of well, liked it But then I also really enjoyed my normal Maths GCSE exam and was the only person who got happy when our AS teacher said we'd have a test when we came back in September so maybe I'm not the best judge...

You clearly haven't taken Functional Skills then.

erm, I did take the FSMQ if that is what you're talking about.

We had 5 months to learn the whole thing along side GCSE maths, so there was no point in doing it in the first place.

Well, at least I know some of it before we start a-levels.

Functional Skills =/= Free Standing Mathematics Qualification.

Functional Skills are pointless tests that you will have to pass in the future in order to get a C grade or above at GCSE. Our school was one of the first to take them.

I am on holiday when the results come out anyway.

I will open them when I get my proper GCSE results to cancel out the C/D in FSMQ lol.

I will probably collect it with my other results, I would rather have them all in one go. FSMQ was pretty good, I think we have covered quite a few a level topics in it.

The vast majority of the pure side of AS maths, you'll find. It's a shame that lots of topics have been pulled out since the earlier years of FSMQ. But I thought it was a good course nonetheless when I took it last year.
    That's good to know .
