Turn off the tv, computer and music. Then I either read, write whatever's on my mind by hand or play sudoku on my phone. For some reason playing sudoku really helps me.

Go to bed really late , the wake up early , then go to bed early and wake up early , then you should be fine.

    When I can't sleep I :

    - Go on TSR and tell everyone I can't sleep and that I'm bored
    - Play XBOX 360
    - Drink swimming pools of milk , and sandwiches

It's pretty tough to fight in my opinion and I've not managed to get rid of it completely. Why can't you sleep? Are you stressed or just can't sleep for no reason? I usually get up and read, listen to some music.

I tend to beat insomnia by falling asleep.

Luckily, it's not a problem that affects me frequently.

You guys are lucky that that works for you! Usually the first night after I haven't slept I can't go to bed any earlier because then I panic or I still can't sleep cos I'm running on adrenaline from the whole day.

    Eat a healthy diet.
Have an established daily routine, get up at the same time each day.
Expend energy during the day with excersize/work etc.
Don't drink excessive amounts of caffeine/soda/sugary drinks.
Don't use the computer/tv/video games at least an hour before you want to sleep.

The above advice will "cure" 99% of self-professed teenage insomniacs.
