    Hey, im moving to kilburn in north west london to study in september. Basically ive got my bills paid,rent, and the institute's only £3.20 return on the overgreound and the course is 3 days a week. so, how much money would i need for food and w.e a week?

    depends how often you want to socalise if your just going to sit in then not that much also depends on if you cook or order food

    yeah im definitely going to be cooking, but i guess markets are quite cheap so ingredients wont be that bad

    Budget £2-3 per day for lunch when your not at home, unless your making that yourself. Budget at least £50 per week for entertainment. Budget at least £30-40 per week for food. Obviously you could get by on less, but you'll be happy on the above budget. It kind of goes without saying really that buying drinks in clubs in London is a bad idea for most people. I'm not sure £50 will be enough if you eat out lots.

    London is still a really expensive city. Try go places like tesco where prices should be same in london as everywhere else. id say around £80 a week not inc rent n most bills but for your travel, shopping, and bits you need at first then might go down a bit when you settled in
