Alcohol-related illness!

Ok, so on Thursday I spent most of the day drinking (about 16 hours or so), which was probably not the best idea. Since then, I'm still feeling really hung over, even though it was 2 days ago now, I feel like I've got a really scratchy throat and a headache, and I still feel a bit sick. I've drank plenty of water, eaten lots of proper meals, and I still feel like **** warmed up. Anyone got any suggestions on anything I can do to make myself feel better?

fix yourself more beer!

Although that would probably work, I don't think that's what Ellie was looking for...

Hehe. Yeah, looking for a fix other than alcohol preferably!

is it possible to try to sleep it off?

Well I could try, but I've been asleep for about 13 hours, and I work up feeling worse than when I went to bed.

Oh God tell me about it! Last saturday I got completely ratted (4 bottles of wine to myself, shared another bottle with someone and had beer too). I can honestly say I've only just recovered in the last 48 hours. Ugh. It will pass, it just takes time and a lot of carbhohydrates & water.

I spent the day drinking on thursday too and didn't feel great afterwards, especially due to saturday.

Keep drinking lots of water, take a couple of paracematol for the headache, following that there's not much else you can do to speed it along. The most important thing is keeping hydrated though - fancy a fried breakfast?

Ok, I guess I'll have to just revise to take my mind off of it and let it pass my itself. Fried breakfast? I think I'm gonna be sick!

Yes, I do realise that. What a helpful and constructive comment!

Then why did you drink for 16 hours if you realised it... doesnt make sense to me.

Well I realise it now, but 'don't drink so much' isn't going to make me feel any better (which is what I'm asking for advice about in this thread). I won't do it again, but it's not constructive help at this moment in time to say, 'how stupid'.

Sorry..
Try doing a workout, go for a jog in the gym or something, work really hard, then go in the sauna and have a shower. I usually feel much better after that, and much "cleaner"..

eating things to 'soak up' the alcohol the next day is good. like toast. but I guess it's a bit late for that...but for next time!
