    Why is it so hard to believe? Some Indian restaurant in Glasgow invented a new dish based on a traditional Indian dish. Voila, British food.

    You may think that's it's a bit naff. But think of the classics

    Lancs Hot Pot
    Fish Pie
    Bangers and Mash
    Cornish Pasty
    Scouse
    Fish and Chips
    Roast Dinners

    Okay, it may not have the finesse of French haute cuisine (which I do quite like), but it's good wholesome food, which is what british food is meant to be.

    And about Chicken Tikka Masarla. Chicken Tikka (which is marinaded chicken skewers) is traditionally Indian, but the masarla bit is basically tomato soup and spices :P. Is it nice, yes, is it authentic, nopes.
