Basically I've been with my bf for around 2 and a half years. I think I love him to bits... But I've never been really attracted to him. He's a great guy, an amazing guy.

There's been around 3-4 other guys that have wanted to get into a serious relationship with me during those years... And they've all been really close friends.

So I decided I wouldn't have guy mates anymore... (Extreme I know :ninja:)

Getting to the point... The other day a friend of mine really liked this guy and we were in starbucks. He came over and asked for my number and my mate got really mad and started calling me a man eater and other s*** like that. Apparently I flirt with men subconciously.

C'mon! I don't get it! I don't even wear make up anymore, or even make any effort. I'm so hurt because she made me out to be some **** when I never ask to get hit on. So she went to the guy and started saying "this is my friend, she's going out with an ugly guy. Do you still fancy her. She doesn't love the guy..." Blah Blah. SHE WENT MAD.

It's a lame argument, I get it. But we've been such good friends, why was she being so awful?

Jealously perhaps? The fact that you don't make an effort and yet seem to get loads of attention probably grates on her nerves...

Oh my god. She's very jealous of you. I'm afraid there's not much you can do about that as it is entirely her problem and something that is likely to be made much worse by talking to her about it. Do you want friends like that? What horrible things to say about you!

But she's gorgeous! :s: She's taller, slimmer and prettier. I'm not fishing for compliments, it's the truth.

I was thinking the same thing... That doesn't give her an excuse to publicly humiliate me.

She might not feel that way, or just be jealous that she is not getting any male attention. There is no other reason (unless she's secretly in love with your boyfriend, though that's still jealousy).

You should tell her that. If a lot of guys are interested in you then you must be attractive, and she might feel like the ugly duckling compared to you.

Is this one of those problems that can only be solved off of the internet, and yet your first instinct was to post on the internet?

    Mind boggling.

We've been friends since we were around 5 years old... She was always the princess, and she knew it. I was always the tomboy. We've hardly ever had arguments, I trusted her by telling her about my bf and his looks and she just shouted it out in public.

Maybe she is secretly a lesbian and you taking all the men would somehow lead to her inevitable outing. Hey just a stab in the dark :holmes:

Top Tip: dont hang with ugly friends coz it'll make them feel inadequate when u get all the male attention!

She sounds like she's jealous. Maybe you get more male attention than she does?

On a serious note I think you should sit down and have a good, loooooong chat. You two need to go off to a spa, make yourselves look hot, have some chocolate and alcohol and just talk about what her problem is.

Well it's either that or you make a pass at her and see the end results...
