What the hell is wrong with his tongue?! Watch

My bf and my me have been together for quite a long time now, but there's some weird taste on his tongue. He says he brushes his tongue and uses mouth wash but it still tastes weird when we kiss.

He's asian and does eat a lot of curry but I'm asian too and I've never had that on my tongue. He doesn't have bad breath though, I don't know what it is. I always need to still a couple of mints/sweets in his mouth if I want to kiss him. But I've always avoided kissing him with his tongue because of it. I tell him and he said he's asked his dentist and does everything we've both asked but it seriously DOES NOT GO AWAY!

    :s: What do I do?

Surely a tongue can't taste of anything otherwise we'd be constantly tasting our tongue.

Tell him to try Listerine. Swish it about for a bit- let it scour his tongue for a couple of seconds.

Should solve his woes- that stuff kills anything.

So, is the problem definately the tongue itself or could the taste be coming from somewhere else, like bacteria between the teeth? Maybe he needs to floss, or could it be digestive problems causing gases to come up?
