Greying can start at any age... My grandma went totally grey at the age of 24, whereas my grandad is still blonde at 72!!

My aunt actually went grey at 14, so it isn't restricted to old people. Stress can actually cause white hairs to appear as it actually ages DNA.

Its perfectly possible. I've heard it happens because of a lack of vitamins.

It does happen - I've been getting grey hairs since i was 14. May have been to do with stress/parents divorcing at that time.
It can be genetic too - my dad started greying at 30, my great-grandfather was white by 24!

I get it dyed at the moment, but may leave it next time it grows back.

I've got a clump of white hair front-centre  . I think lack of vitamins sounds plausable as I have a really poor diet. On my body I have small patches of pigment-less skin and any hair in that area is clear/white. I also have a tiny patch on my arm which is much darker (like a normal skin tone) and the hairs on that are really dark and show up well. One of those pale patches is right on my head in the middle (hidden by the hair).

Is that true? Does that mean other aging factors, like wrinkles, kick in early too?

Its down to colour pigmentation (spelling? ) my friends parents went grey in earlier 20's as they had very dark black hair, hes prob going to be the same.

not a single grey hair here, my dad is finally got a few faint ones coming through at 47, so hopefully that will stand me in good stead,

Perhaps magic carpet means she found ONE little grey hair. This simply means the person has one or a few grey hairs. They are not going grey. Although yes its possible at any age.
Apparently black hair turns grey fastest, but it might just be that it's more noticeable in black hair. I'm 18 and I've found a couple of grey hairs, (my hair is red/brown) but my friend has black hair and she has lots of grey in it. It's mostly underneath the top layer of hair so it's not very obvious at the moment, but there is a lot of it.
