hi

my damaged my elbow during trainning, not sure what's up with it... basically when i pick heavy stuff up or even stretch its like a a vein or something is being strainned. I dont think it's a muscle problem.

any help will be appreciated as i dont want to go to the doctor for such a minor issue.

Maybe you pulled a ligament or something??! Did this happen today? If it did I'd just leave it overnight and see what it's like tomorrow or in a few days before visiting your GP.

i don't like this phrase 'pull a ligament'.
When people say this they invariably mean pull a tendon/muscle.

give it till tuesday - you won't get an appointment over bank holiday.

What feels better? a cold compress or a heat pad?

thats a surprisingly poor way of figuring the injury type apparently.

I'm not trying to figure it out. I'm saying do what feels better :broken:

to this day i still can't figure out which is best. After all, they are complete opposites of each other.
I think the theory is this. Soon after injury - ice pack. some time after injury - heat pad. Ice pack reduces damage and inflammation there and then. heat pack speeds repair, and clears bruising quicker.
