It was horrible - some patch work quilt looking dress with netting, pink bits - URGH just awful. But what she has chosen now is much better.

so this was a thread about a dress i already have, but the general opinion was that i shouldn't wear the dress. so i need help finding one i should wear!
a lot of people have said i should wear something classic, and i agree with this, so something like that would be great.
just above the knee is an ideal length for me.
i'm very slim so nothing that will swamp me!
and (unfortunately) i have very little money so as cheap as possible i'm afraid.

thanks to everyone who gave opinions on the dress!
What kind of price range do you mean by cheap?

I think when you actually tried that latest dress on it would have exactly the same problems the original one did....there's really not that much difference between them. Why are you so into that 1950s cinched in waist hourglass shape? I think it's for slightly older women really, and is best left to those with big boobs/tiny waist/big bum, or people with problem figures they want to hide a bit. But if you're set on it I like the blue much more.
what kind of shape would you suggest then?
