Mathematics at Glasgow Uni. (With Physics+Astronomy in 1st year; perhaps i'll be lured away by sparkly things yet. According to most rankings - dubious as thy are - their Phys/Astronomy dept is ~2nd in the UK, so might be a waste not to.)

Career-wise? I dont give a flying ****-monkey. Anyone who goes to Uni for a career needs a thorough slapping. Probably research maths though.

    London is better!!!!!!!!!!
More job oppurtunities I heard for everything
True in theory, but it's SO expensive, and I adore Brighton/Cheltenham, so it'll be a tough decision!

Also, I have a few friends in the areas of work I hope to be in, and they've been saying that recently more people are being employed outside of London based on the fact that it's cheaper

Yeah I guess... Well, my friend got into an uni in New York and she advised me to stay in a big city.... But then to support herself she had to get a part time job! ....

Oh and is anyone else here even considering Earth Sciences/Geology or am I the only one?

And when graduate recruitment schemes ask for "A numerate degree"..... is that anything that's a BSc? (e.g. would earth sciences count?)

Theatre Practice: Performance Arts at Central School of Speech and Drama (hopefully)
Looking to create my own theatre company.

If I don't get into Central, It's either Drama and Theatre Arts or just plain Drama.

    YAY! Someone else! :p:

These are my choices so far:

    1. Lancaster (Earth Sciences with Geography)
    2. Glasgow (Earth Sciences)
    3. Leeds (Geoscience)
    4. Liverpool (Geology)
    5. Lancaster (Natural Sciences)

To be honest, can't see myself anywhere but Lancaster, went to the open day and LOVED it! It just felt right and the course looked great!

    Leeds is AMAZING

I've changed my choices slightly too, not putting down Liverpool now (They say I couldn't get acommodation there because I live too close ) so Bristol is now in there for Geology

Durham looked nice too, but not my kinda thing.

Good luck with your application! Never know, I might see you next Sept/Oct :p:
