I also hate how they're making it seem as though it's either Oxford or Cambridge, or a really rubbish university. Obviously there aren't any other good unis around at all.
ditto! there are very good unis in london... which i ruled out because i cant afford to live there, but since theyd be commuting theyd have less of that prob:rolleyes:

I think she should stay in London, got some fine institutions here then she could stay at home and commute :yep:
It's not like they could stay and apply to LSE, Imperial, UCL or King's. That would be too easy. Anyway, I think whoever who said it is right, we're reading a bit too much into this.

Think EastEnders directors were being glassist. Gus should have applied to Oxbridge ages ago but look at where he ended up. Hell, they even axed the poor guy for no reason.
    A fellow gus lover?

lol, the evil tv magazines have told me about Tamwar's future...I must not say though of course.

But seriously guys, it really is a bit mad to talk about it to this degree, a little storyline in a soap like this can be decided on and written one week before filming, and Eastenders is filmed two months in advance. Time is not always the priority..only for Christmas etc.

The indian kid has apparently applied to cambridge and oxford too.
They should simply have cut to the chase and had him apply to 'The University of Oxbridge'.

They started something vague like this in Hollyoaks too (although the character got atticted to drugs and I don't know what's happening to them now...) but they never got round to applying. I might tune into 'Enders now, see how they do.

    haha.

Oxford. Her neighbour has applied to Cambridge for medicine - so there's a bit of rivalry between the mothers.
    :p:

Just like the real East End, then.

they havent got their timeline accurate either, they took their gcses last year, and they have already applied for uni this year ?
You take your GCSE's in June of one year then apply to university by October of the following year, there's nothing wrong with the timeline.

I wish they'd continued with that rather than making her go all druggy.

Bring back Gus, Robbie, Ricky and Wellard and THEN I might start watching this **** again.

He beat up his girlfriend in public apparently. I think that's why they sacked him.

+ Keith Miller, and Steve Owen. :yep:

I've gone off EastEnders completely since Keith left. He's someone I aspire to be. The selotaping of the remote control to the chair is just too cool and epitome of manliness. Ahhhh :beard:
