I was just looking at this website - http://www.iusedtobelieve.com/ - and wondered what crazy things people on here used to believe when they were little. This is a favourite of mine from that website:

As a child I was totally floored by the fact that my dad owned a monkey wrench. We had never had any monkeys that needed to be taken apart and I could never figure out which part of a monkey it would fit on even if we had.

      Classic!

I remember when my sister and I believed that the dust we raised in the playground became clouds.

At one point I was absolutely convinced that I had an Uncle Frank, because I evidently identified very strongly with a book in which the main character does. I told my mum about it and she spent a good ten minutes trying to convince me that I don't! Luckily she seems to have forgotten about the incident....

    What made you think that?

I really don't know but I was really dismayed when my parents told me there was only one London.

Awww. That reminds me of when I thought that Bethlehem, although real when Jesus was born, wasn't real enough to actually visit nowadays (I know that doesn't make sense, but it's hard to explain....) I was shocked when my mum told me that a relative was travelling there.
