Tomatoes are fruit not veg. However I don't like them anyway but they are used more as a veg than a fruit.

    Yeah it's a fruit.

There are many criteria which it fits to make it one, rather than being a vegetable.

    Science questioning over.

Neither, it's an alien. It's sneakily devious, sending us off the trail. It's got us all caught up in this veg/fruit debate when infact it's planning world domination...

    It's a fruit, but I treat it like veg/salad.

Technically it's a fruit but I wouldn't want to eat it with custard.

I know it's a fruit, I see it and use it as a veg. Botanically a fruit, a veg in a culinary context (i.e. the context I use tomatoes in the most).

If I had to write a menu with chicken, couscous and roasted peppers, onions, courgettes, aubergine and tomatoes, I wouldn't describe it as 'chicken and couscous with assorted roasted fruit and veg'.

Also, what about peppers? They're technically fruit too!

I see it as a veg.

Simply because I was taught so and it's used in foods as any other veg.

But scientifically it's a fruit. Anyway, the question was "What do you see it as?" so i answered frankly.

    It's a fruit - grows from a tree.
