Hi, I got this cotton top from a festival a few days ago, and realised I had to hand wash it.
So there I was rinsing it in cold water (following the instructions on the label), when lots of black/very dark blue ink started to materialise.
The top consists mostly of fairly dark green, dark blue/black with little bits of red and orange.
Is ink running normal when hand washing for the first time?

    Thanks.

Yeah its normal, though its sometimes best to use high temperature water to seal the ink.

Yeah don't stress - it'll just be that the excess dye hasn't washed out yet. It happens loads with all sorts of clothes, but you don't notice when it happens in the washing machine!
