Do i need to go to university to build a successful career in creative advertising?

I know there are many courses on this(im thinking of doing this one http://www.northumbria.ac.uk/?view=C...ode=UUFADV2MED ), but is it absolutely necessary for this career path?

Would an agency in London or NYC talk to me without a degree?
I know experience is important too, but you have to start somewhere and i am in my last year of school at the moment...

I would like to experience the University Lifestyle

I think you've decided that you'd like to give it a shot- and it definitely can't hurt your chances, so if its affordable, why not?

That said, the creative industries put a bigger emphasis on the quality of your work, ideas and portfolio than they do on having a degree. Arguably the degree might improve your quality of work, thus making the two linked, but its not vital for success, no.

If you would like to experience the uni life, then why not go for it? It can't hurt your chances of success anyway, only improve them.
Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
