I absolutely love London, the atmosphere, everything. I've never been to New York though. I get the feeling that if I still love London as much as I do then New York would just blow me away. One day I hope to find out.

im so suprised so many people have said NYC over LDN

i have been to nyc twice, it is fantastic but i honestly think LDN is better, i think everything is jst more spread out in london so it seems less impressive.

but i love london, city wise its the best!

I was thinking about this today actually. Having been in both citys I loved New York and London didn't really compare in my opinion. People in New York were so welcoming and friendly, streets are so clean and have very little litter and I felt so much safer wandering around there on my own which may be strange to some people. This is of course just my opinion, the shopping in NY was great as all the places I wanted to go were close together and when I went the exchange rates were great, but London shopping is fantastic.
I would choose NY over London personally.
Where were you in NYC? It may appear clean, but it really isnt....
It is safe there- NYPD doesnt mess around...
Of course the exchange rates are good- the dollar is soo weak compared to the Euro and British Sterling.

I haven't been to London, but I personally love New York (/bias )

    LOL

You have got to live in a place for a while to truly make a judgement. Going to the best parts of NYC for a week is not the same as living there. It is the same for any city.

Also, people think that Manhattan=NYC.

Very true, while there the other boroughs. Brooklyn is becoming quite artsy now, while Staten Island remains one of the quietest IMO.

    I live in London.
Never been to New York but would love to go.

I especially would love to go on the "sex and the city" tour.... (joke.)

    Both cities are great.
    Comparing them is daft.

We stayed right in the centre of Manhattan but also visited Chinatown, Little Italy, Brooklyn etc etc. (Don't think I've spelt any of them right haha). Just my personal opinion from my time there
