I'd really like to know. I'm an American, and I've been trying to capture and understand the concept of "chaviness" for some time, and I still have not reached any real level of understanding. So please, can someone explain it to me. Pictures, notes and what not would really be appreciated.

I think the best way to describe it to you would be a stereotypical hill-billy crossed with a gangster

I'd like to quickly point out that not all people from council estates are chavs. Chav is an anti-social and violent mentality.

Teenagers do not generally have the habit of verbally abusing/attacking anyone who dares look in their general direction (only when backed up by about 20 of their own of course).

It's a popular term becuase there's loads of the ****ers.

Lol I agree, I particulary like

"This lad is strutting around, fag in one hand jewellery al over the over, outside McDonalds acting as if he is 8 foot tall and built like a rugby player, when some poor unsuspecting adult (about 17/18) walks round the corner wanting to go to mcdonalds for his dinner glances at the young lad, the young lad jumps up in complete disgust and says “Whats your problem? Wanna make sommin of it? Bling Bling” "

Because this situation has actually happened to me! (Me being the adult, obv :p: )
