9 council workers have lost their jobs for snooping on the personal info of celebrities and acquaintances in the NIS database. This shows that government claims to 'keep our identity safe' are a load of nonsense.

I wouldnt call it rubbis hif the employees got sacked. You cant have a watchfull eye on all your employees, at all times, some will occasionally let you down, you cant do anythign about it other than take appropriate action

Maybe that's a good reason for the government not to have access to your information?

Perhaps but then without it, it may be more inconvientant for you when payign bills or recieveing benefits etc.

I hate the government as much as the next person, but I am a realist and realsie they cant control everyone working for them.
