YR10 work experience in a car garage?

Are you allowed to do work experience in a garage? I'm thinking something like Kwik-Fit. Have any of you guys done it? If so, what was it like?

Kwik fit turned me down , you're allowed , but it's very hard to find somewhere. I eventually worked in a garage though. It was alright. I changed car tires , helped fit exhaust systems , helped with services and loads of other stuff.

It's ok I guess.

I guess it'd depend on the individual garage, whether they thought you were too young. One of my mates did it this year (YR11) but ended up at a local garage, not a big company, because they weren't as bothered about his health and safety :p:
