I had about 10 inches cut off my hair a few days ago. I really like the style (it just skims the top of my shoulders). It's also heavily layered, so when straight it looks really choppy and edgy. I've been straightening it every day, but after an hour or so, it kinks out in about 40 places and looks really bad.

Is there anything I can do/products I can use to keep it straight all day?

Does it really look that bad when you let it dry naturally?

If you reaaaally want it straight, I would use one of those heat defense sprays or serums that make your hair stay straighter for longer.

It looks straight-ish until mid-way down, where it goes crazy and curly and flicky. Like in the 90's when it was cool to get your hair "feathered" but nobody had straighteners so it just looked like complete ****. :/
