I run my PC on a 42" Sony full HD tv - and I have to agree with one of the first posts. Transformers looks absolutely spectacular in HD! My mum has got terrible eyesight and could actually watch it without wearing gigs it was that clear
'Tis abit annoying that you are looking at between 6 and 11GB for a full HD movie though, and the download speeds are an absolute nightmare.

Animation always looks the best, so things like Kung Fu Panda are amazing.

I believe it's more of a problem getting 50Mbits download with P2P or something. meskell, pay for it :yep:

    I wouldn't mind being in a VM area though. It's 500 metres away.:sadnod:.

Lol I do have the 50Mb VM internet, but its downloading off a specifc website that is members/invitation codes only that I doubt I am allowed to mention on this forum :P. I can still get download speeds of around 1mb/s, but I am at the mercy of the seed ratio etc .

Edit: But when downloading HD stuff I am looking at speeds closer to 50-100kb/s, so usually about 7days worth of actual downloading :O

This P2P business what is it? And what exactly is it you can download from it? Costs etc. I've used it for live streaming before but that is about it.

Gutted about being so close yet so far from a VM area though.

P2P relies on others to upload what they have downloaded and therefore reduces pressure on servers. However, most people have lower upload than download (VM 50Mbit download has 1.67Mbit upload) so essentially, the swarm's download speed=upload speed and the average download speed is limited.

I've seen them movies sooo many times I couldnt' be arsed to get them on hd. What size is you tv? Do you get full 1080p hd?

Can't wait until HD porn becomes popular. Very difficuly to find a free online site. (I've seen some movies and it made my eyes bleeed.)
Watching on my 26 inch monitor full 1080p Sucks storing them though, there like 10gig a peice atleast.

Alot cheaper just to rent a server with 100mb internet and torrent everything as you will get crazy good upload rate which gives you a good download rate then just download it off the server with ftp.
