Trolls take a long time posting.

    You didn't understand my point.

It sounds as if he didn't do the actual hitting, but still, don't let him back. He didn't defend you and seems to have stupid, violent and immature friends - not the ideal flatmate (or best friend for that matter).

Just don't dwell on the issue for years, even if your neck starts clicking.
Sorry I may have not explained it very well...!

    to summerise,

My flat mate invited 5 people to stay the night

    I said No

My flat mate disapproved and he decided to punch me 8 times in the head... whilst his friends watched in amusement

Definitely don't let him back then. Tell him if he continues to harass you, you will be pressing charges.

Assuming you aren't a troll, don't let them back. All trust & respect was lost once they decided beating you up was a reasonable response to not getting what they wanted. What sort of friend is that? You're landlord he should abide by your rules. You've been lenient enough not reporting them to the police and just telling their parents, expecting you to let them back after this fiasco is overstepping it.

Block his number and move on, sounds like he would do it again anyways.
What sort of a best friend is that.

sod feeling guilty, if it was me I'd take great pleasure in seeing them live on the street. Be a bit cut throat with them, chuck them out and press charges, people shouldn't be able to get away with that.

Don't let them back into your house, their behaviour is completely unreasonable and surely violates any legal contract/lease they may have with you. Be firm and tell them no, contact CAB and see if you need to return any money for deposit and rent etc. I personally would contact the police hope you are feeling better soon.
