    hi,
    i got 6A's 1A* and 2B's in my GCSE's
But i vowed to change in y12 and i took 4 AS subjects Eng lit, german, history and sociology I wanted 4 As out of it for AS I prepared properly and got off to an okayish start in my studies but somehow during the course of the year. now im looking at no lit grade (i dropped it) Eif im lucky in german and an A for sociology....
My sixth form wont let me start over next year and Im not sure if they would even let me back into german with tht grade. So now im wondering if i should just start over at the local college they have lots of facilities but i heard the sociology teachers arent as good as the ones i have now and the history course isnt interesting and they dont do languages and the added bonus my moms boyfriend whos married and has been going out with my mom for well since my parents split his daughter is going there this year.
I dont know what to do. I could have a fresh start with AS's at college but my dad loves the sixth form i go to.
    please advise

o yeah n to add to all tht i dont feel cut out for the UCAS process yet at all

you can retake AS levels no problem but just remember you cannot retake A levels (well you can but unis will not accept this) so you either need to work really hard on getting a better grade at AS to help your final Alevel grade or start again

Unis shouldnt ask about retakes though, but they may ask why you are a year behind so you will be stuck with explaining that you restarted the year!

is it really tht huge of a deal to retake y12? would i have to like explain it in my personal statment.

also I have like no proper friends at the sixth form anymore , they all left , for the samee reasons I don't feel like iv achieved half of what im capable of. My best friend who I have seen pretty much every day for the past five years is going to college and restarting the year.

hmmm it depends if you are planning on applying to unis that interview, if your not then i would say no its not a big deal, if you are then i would be thinking of a "mitigating circumstance" as best i could lol

surely its too late for college applications now?

This. I know people who practically retook everything, it's really no big deal.

fair point. but why does it make someone stuck up if they want to get better grades than they got, and so decide to work harder to achieve this?
