I live in nottingham at the moment, and i know the indie nightlife is brilliant. But not sure if nottingham trent, has a good indie atomsphere within the campus (i'd be in Clifton Campus)
Im so worried of eneding up at a university where everyone is in tracksuits and talks like 'sick' and 'safe blud' and are kinda chavvy.
Id like to meet people that are like me, loves indie, emo music etc, likes vintage, abit quirky and wierd lol
Nothing against people that love sport and were tracksuits and rnb. but if 90% of the uni was like that and only 10% was like me . Id feel abit of out place.
I go to the worst college atm, everyone looks at me like im a wierdo becuase i dress in vintage and i like screamo music etc.
any advice, .. great if somone who goes to them, could tell me if theres any indie-ish guys there, and if people are friendly and its easy to meet people im looking for?
which universitry has the best indie/punk scene? Watch

Leeds Met and Manchester Met are ridiculously large universities. They also aren't full of chavs - with a body that large, there will certainly be enough diversity to cater to everyone's taste.
In terms of cities, I think Leeds may be slightly limited due to it's size. It's smaller, and my impression of the Leeds nightlife is it being quite mainstream/very focused on modern urban/dance music. They'll undoubtedly be an indie scene there, but it may be less prominent than somewhere like Manchester. I can confidently say that Manchester will have a thriving indie scene - the music scene in Manchester is pretty extensive. There are so many indie kids at UoM that there are bound to be some great places to go.
I didn't comment on Nottingham because I have little/no experience of the place.
