Should the Conservatives the general election, would their first term have stagnant economic growth?
And if so, wouldn't it damage their first term?

We'll probably go through a see-saw of growth, stagnancy and decline. Who can say how long that will last, or how long the growth will last, how long the stagnancy will last, or how long the decline will last?
I reckon no-one truly knows, although they might speculate..to accumlate, as the saying goes.
I think the Conservatives, when they win the next General Election, will ensure that the gap between the rich and the poor widen even further, because a lot of people in the Conservative party simply hate the lower orders and all they stand for. Of course, the Conservatives know they must put the lower orders to use, because every Tory knows that the common man is just a tool to be used by government to further its aims.
I think no matter what party gets into power in the next election they will just find themselves pushing the giant snowball of Globalisation and rampant capitalism further and further...and the inequality will widen. Anomie will grow stronger and people will cry out because they cannot do anything, or they will cry out to their God and they will come to believe that all government is an evil conspiracy...a bit like now.
