    Aka fronting. This is illegal, and if found out by your insurers in the event of a claim, your cover will be invalidated, leaving you with a pretty hefty bill to pay, esspecially if you say, caused the death of another road user.

    Admittedly it's fairly tricky for the insurer to prove, but there have been cases where young drivers and their parents have been left with bills running into the tens of thousands due to their ignorance of insurance law and thinking they will "get away with it".

    But hey, I pay £650 TPFT on a classic mini cooper (genuine cooper, not a mayfair or the like tarted up to look like one) in my own name and all that.
