Go to Direct Line to get a cheap quote, And I wouldn't advise putting yourself as the named driver, get one of your parents to put themselves as named driver, and you as a second driver .
Admittedly it's fairly tricky for the insurer to prove, but there have been cases where young drivers and their parents have been left with bills running into the tens of thousands due to their ignorance of insurance law and thinking they will "get away with it".
But hey, I pay £650 TPFT on a classic mini cooper (genuine cooper, not a mayfair or the like tarted up to look like one) in my own name and all that.
