:awesome: I might not do it anyways. I have until September..I'm considering doing:

    Advanced Higher English - School
    Advanced Higher Mathematics - School
    Higher Modern Studies - School
    Higher Politics - School
    Higher Classical Studies - School
    HIGHER Philosophy - College
    Higher Psychology and - College
    Advanced Higher Computing - College
Don't know what you got out of S5, but admissions will laugh out loud at this :eek3:

Do you have evidence that this is doable, by you? Based on what? That's what an interviewer will want to know.

    That I paid for it.

What's that..£180 x single subject. I would totally pay that much just for fun

    -.-
Being totally serious now Ape, that is what you would essentially be doing those subjects for. Just for fun. Have no delusions that having that many will change your chances of university more than just having a few.

So he wasn't a homosexual :awesome:. You should consider psychology :yep:
Maybe it got him worked up for working out  and his pent-up sexual frustration made him lift more weights?

    What am I saying? :lolwut:

What did you do..Creative Writing folio or Textual Analysis ?

The best mark with the 6th years that just left was a C..so that gives hope to us all
Last year they all got Cs, only one girl got an A and she was a Cambridge reject. So, yeah.

You totally have to show me your writing folio once we've sent them off :teeth:

You're doing creative writing as well?

Yippee! I'm like one of two people out of 7 that are doing it.
We're being told to do it. :awesome:

A 14 page dissertation ... My Standard Grade English essays were that long. :o:

Cryptic clue: I think you'll be good at that

Far too much work to do to waste my time here.

    Good luck!

*sigh* Higher English is depressing. It's the only subject that the workload has actually shotup. 7 days of school back now and I've had homework about every day and each day it is about an hour or so of english homework Not to mention my teacher seems to expect me to know the oddest things from reading Sunset Song. We've only gone over the prelude and I didn't pick up any of the stuff she talked about when I read it. And I've got to re-read and summarise A Clockwork Orange by Friday. Damn English.

You got told page count? WTF, your teacher is retarded.

    It's meant to be I think 3500-4500.

And you're being told to do it..your teacher truly does suck.
As a guide. She told us word count first. I asked how many A4 typed pages that was, roughly.

This is what they all say! And you think your teacher got all those 'odd' things on a first reading?! Now reread it bearing in mind the ideas she mentioned; then read it again. Your understanding will deepen sufficiently by CE time. Guaranteed.

Whether you like it or not, you'll have to devote as much time, each night, to English as you do to, say, your maths h'work. Just because we don't have the luxury of saying 'do up to exercise 3B/C' doesn't mean there is no English homework. There is always English homework!

Yes, whilst I am writing grade A pieces you will be asking how many pages you need to do. Quality at an acceptable word count over quantity
I nearly spewed some Fanta, LOL

Whilst I am writing pieces of short fiction destined for The New Yorker and the Booker prize you will be writing personal reflective essays entitled "A person I admire." :holmes:

And then you wake up and realise it was all a dream. Lucid dream if you are lucky.

Meanwhile, I will be writing unique novels with immense depth and not shallow ripoffs.

    I just spewed some Irn-Bru.
    Ape, you're so funny

Elaborate on "unique" novels with "immense depth." What do you mean by that? :hand: Perhaps mature, original, thoughtful? :p:

"Shallow ripoffs"? Our teacher said one girl last year asked if she could do a dissertation on Goosebumps :ahee:

:awesome: You have some strange teachers.

Here I thought I would help out:

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/depth
 You're planning on writing a novel for your folio? Good luck with that and your two other Advanced Highers and five Highers.

The phrases you used were too generic. I think you're too heartless to be a writer
