That's like explaining how the Aurora Boreal works and not sitting back and admiring the beauty...
Well yes, but it's important when you are trying to port it to another programming language (like TheUnbeliever) to know how it works so yours will be compatible.

And you are a Computing student anyway. A set of numbers like that and a grid should scream out at you.

One thing intrigues me... why doesn't it use the obvious number that it doesn't use?

EDIT: Also, as a musician, can you tell me what notes it's using?

I guess it's to do with how it's coded internally, it must have been the simplest way the programmer felt to transcribe the grid into an output and implement it.

Give me a sec I'll see if I can match up the notes.

The top is A6 and bottom is A3. It ascends by the pentatonic scale A B D E F# which explains why the music is "nice" and folk-like, but it can't play all the notes.

I sort of cheated :p: Use a tuner program (this web-based one for example), route your Stereo Mix into it and it should tell you what each note is.

Hah I filled up a 100 page refill pad of notes on Carrie. Go me.

And on the subject of instruments, does anyone also play baritone or cornet? I only seem to be good at Brass, lewl.

    Which path should I take:

    a) do 3/5 periods of crash Higher Modern Studies a week and do 4/6 periods of AH French

    OR

    b) do 4/5 periods of Modern a week and do 3/6 periods of AH French?
