i'm sooo excited about yooooneee !

Someone calm me down

if i remember rightly, you're going to uni straight from fifth year?

if so i'll calm you down. pretty much everyone will be a year older and everyone is going to think you are an immature child. everyone will be out drinking in pubs and clubs, having perhaps one of the greatest years of their lives whilst you cannot do anything of the sort as you are too young. you are booted out of all pubs after 9pm. You struggle to make any friends as all the socialising revolves around drinking, which you cannot be apart of. *

*this probably isn't true

I can help you locate a hunting rifle, if you wish. :p:

Congratulations and good luck!

Hmm... tempting.
I'd better not, I need a clean disclosure to get into the course. I imagine murder would not go down too well with the disclosure scotland guys :p: Haha.
Thank you

:woo: Congratulations, and I hope someone pulls out! :hugs:

 Hehe, thank you :hugs:

hehe no I'm going to Dundee but I live in (or just outside stirling; grew up there).

I'm jealous of people in Dundee there is hundreds of jobs going up there

Though I got a phone interview for debenhams today hopefully I did okay and they will let me do the real interview

if you get bored get on a train to stirling and you can party in my halls

ooh dya reckon there will be lots of inter uni partying?!
I know people at glasgow and strathy so i'll be popping into their union sometimes

It's good to be excited! Stirling is an interesting place...

I'm a bit nervous tbh, I got my fresher's pack the other day and there doesn't seem to be anything at all on that doesn't involve clubbing - which I'm sure I'll enjoy but not 7 nights in a row with nothing during the day:s-smilie:

I'll briefly summarise with one thing each day how awesome my Freshers week is gonna be :p:

Day 1 - Ceilidh dance
Day 2 - Sandcastle competition
Day 3 - Treasure hunt
Day 4 - Pub Crawl with mermaids
Day 5 - Debates!
Day 6 - Surfing!
Day 7 - Fondue party

I'd rather just fantasise to be honest :p:

Just kidding!

All I know is that it's described as an "Informal meet and greet with the mermaid society"

Thank you for all the kind comments earlier guys. The interview went really well and I got an unconditional on the basis that someone pulls out before Monday 24th. :o: I really hope someone does - the course is completely full up.

Oh well, yet another week of stress. And that means I'll have to go to school this week, incase I don't get a place. Please please please let me get a place!

Omg me too. I'm hoping someone doesn't go to hand in their results. I'm dreading Monday D:

Luhlah, I hear college parties are the best than all the other parties because (no offense) people who tend to not be that bothered go to college and that in turn leads to fantastic parties

well I'll probably be travelling to some of my friends unis for some parties:smile:
Cos Stirling is easily accessed/close to most of scotland I guess there will be a fair bit of inter-uni parties!

Good luck with debenhams, I have a couple of friends who work there and seem to think it's alright. And there are quite a few part-time vacancies going in the centre just now, so you should be ok:smile:

Em well there's the supermarkets, but they're all quite difficult to get to without a car. Sainsbury's might have some vacancies in september, tesco's don't have anything just now AFAIK and I don't know about morrisons. There's other bigger shops around morrisons aswell (Springkerse retail park - B&Q, comet, PC world etc).
You could try the union, and the macrobert arts centre on campus; alot of students get jobs there as ticket sellers/ushers etc., and if your sporty, there might be stuff at the gannochy.

Not that i'm complaining, I don't really like clubs anyway!

From what I saw when I was there, it makes up by being eye-wateringly beautiful and so atmospheric you can hardly breathe!
