    Now I'm confused about whether to apply to Durham or UCL. I hadn't even considered Durham till you guys started talking about it, but it's supposedly better for French than UCL :woo:

    Trying to explain UCAS to my mum and she doesn't get it. She thinks if I took a gap year it'd be a disaster because "I'd be a year behind everyone else", despite the fact that I'd be a year early if I went at 17 rather than 18. :sigh:

    Try and not let funding ruin where you really want to be, loans and overdrafts will help. I had wanted to go out of Scotland but thought I could never afford it but there are ways of getting round it, wish I applied to that Welsh uni now
