Tips that people use to make friends never usually work!! New ways? Watch

I have 4 "best" friends and most of the time none of them bother to contact me or wanna go out or anything. My best best friend has a boyfriend and she still wants to go out but not as much these days and she's wrapped up in her boyfriend anyway. The other two friends pretty much ignore my texts/facebook messages and say things like "Yeah we should so meet up" but nothing ever gets done. And my last friend I only see during work hours (because we work in neighbouring stores). Why is this? I feel like I actually have no friends and have pretty much spent my entire summer posting on TSR, watching TV and movies.
I want to move on and find friends who are more appreciative of me but the things people suggest NEVER work e.g.:

    1) Took up a new hobby-guitar lessons and didn't meet anyone besides my teacher
    2) Took up spanish lessons and everyone there was middle aged
    3) started volunteering, but there were only 2 other youngsters who I didn't click with
4)I've got a job but everyone there is in their twenties/at university whilst I've just finished college and am 18.

I only have 1.5 months until University but I don't want my summer to be more of thisss. I wanna go out and have fun with friends who appreciate me. What should I do?

Go to the park and just talk with randomers - that always kills some time, and you can actually meet some new friends this way

    Get a new job?

Phone your friends instead of texting them? Make plans rather than receive plans?

All this isnt just random advice - I used to feel the exact same way.. used to feel that my friends didnt appreciate me as much as I did them... but perhaps your expectations are just different from them? Try talking to them about how you feel?

Organise stuff yourself. Don't rely on your friends to make plans to do stuff all the time 'cause its really annoying when people do that.

Also make sure you're easy to get in touch with, fb, answer texts/emails quickly etc. One of my friends is fun to hang out with and stuff but she never organises anything and shes really hard to get in touch with. We usually invite her places but if its like a spur of the moment thing we don't bother cause shes so slow to respond to anything.
