A friend and I have just moved in together and we are both wanting to meet some new people so that we dont have to depend on each other so much and just generally want to improve our social life. There are lots of people we "know" but not really the kind of people we want to spend a lot of time with.
We're both job hunting at the moment so hopefully we'll meet more people once we start work, but for now, where's the best places to make new friends? We dont have a lot of money so things like at clubs that cost money or at the gym are kind of out of the question right now!

    Thanks in advance

In the right weather (ha!) the park is good or maybe hanging in starbucks? Generally where there are people is a start but prison...might not be the easiest route!
Since there is two of you it may be easier, as you can 'share' friends ad then meet their friends
