magiccarpet
to go out with someone very ugly but with a nice personality?

If I found them ugly then surely they are clearly not for me and somebody else would find them cute. I know, it's sad, but you just can't choose who you fancy :frown:

But maybe I would find someone ugly with a nice personality who I do fancy. I dunno!

I just want to add this...

Do you guy know who David Walliams is? He's the guy in 'Little Britain' (not the one who plays Vicky Pollard). I think he's ugly but he's managed to attract some really beautiful women. Lisa Snowdon was one of them, his had a few other celeb g/fs, but I think he's ugly yet has managed to attract the attention of these beautiful women. So, I think in a number of cases you'll find that looks doesn't have much to do with it...personality does.

thats cos he's a celeb now. if he was joe blogs in an office job, nobody will care

That doesn't change the fact that he's soo unattractive (lookswise). The fact is women like him enough to go out with him, that fact cannot be denied.

Look at all the ugly footballers. They have gorgeous wives.

Is that last poll option meant to be funny ??

You can't ask people if looks are important to them because there is only one answer. People who say they are not important are just lying (or perhaps don't realise they are judging someone on looks). They are the most important factor when meeting people that have the potential to become partners.

It is only after the initial attraction has occured that other factors such as personality etc become important in determining if a relationship develops or not.

It sounds harsh but is unfortunately true and has been proven in countless studies.

no its promoting equality as people are saying im a homophobe
Reply 11
In other words, wtf, who cares about how someone looks, it's the personality that counts!
Reply 12
its homophobic in itself. Why would you be any less or more likely to date someone for looks because you are gay
Reply 13
if you are gay, there are fewer gay people in the world than straight people. and there are more ugly/normal people in the world than fit people. and the number of gay fit people is thewrfore small. and the number of gay fit people who fancy you is even smaller. so you sort of have to take what you get as there are so few people, thus looks cant matter as mch to a gay person

'fitness' is in the eye of the beholder  so that's a silly comment

look. its a mathematical fact, not a homophobic opinion.

eg:

gays = eg 5% population.
gays of YOUR GENDER = 2.5% population
gays of your gender and age range =1.25 % population
fit gays>0.5%
fit gays that fancy you> 0.25%

say you know 1000 people. that means 2 of them will be possible to go out with.so there. thats before you count personality
