    Woo, congratulations!

I'm going into 3rd year (eek, I feel old!) so I should be able to answer any questions you have! There's also a few freshers-related threads over in the Glasgow sub-forum.

Good luck! Personally, I volunteered once a week in a care home for ex-servicemen/women. I only started in the August before I applied. I did work experience at the Cancer Research UK institute in Cambridge, and organised to do some more in the Endocrinology dept. at Addenbrooke's hospital. I just wrote I had it organised on my application because I wasn't going to do it until the week after the deadline for applying to medicine. I was struggling to get work experience but fortunately my cousin helped me get some as he's a doctor (who also went to Glasgow!) so even if you're struggling remember to write that you've tried your best to get work experience. They'll understand the difficulty in getting experience

Okay thanks for that, I work in a care home as a care assistant, and have done a little bit of volunteering in the same care home. I also have a weeks work experience in Gartnavel hospital in Glasgow, but unfortunetely thats about it so far excluding extra curricular stuff!

I'd think that should be plenty, I only had a week's worth experience in total!
